Dothan, AL – David Allen Tice, 18, of Dothan, was killed in a pedestrian accident on February 8, 2026, on the 4700 block of Montgomery Highway near the Dothan Pavilion Shopping Center, authorities reported.
The Dothan Communications Center received a call shortly after 7:00 p.m. reporting a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived, Tice was found in the roadway and pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to the initial investigation, Tice was crossing Montgomery Highway from the La Parilla area toward Walmart when he was struck by a vehicle traveling in the southbound lanes. A second vehicle also struck Tice after the first collision, reportedly unable to see him in the roadway. Authorities indicated that, unless further information emerges, the drivers of the vehicles are not expected to face charges.
The Dothan Police Department’s CRASH Team is investigating the incident, and the case remains open. Officials expressed condolences to Tice’s family and friends, calling the loss “a tragic day regardless of circumstances.”
