Dothan, AL – A 41-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a fentanyl overdose death that occurred in Dothan in 2025, according to the Dothan Police Department.
Officers responded shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Nov. 15, 2025, to a home in the 200 block of South Idlewild Path for a report of a person down possibly experiencing a medical emergency. When officers and Dothan Fire paramedics arrived, they found 28-year-old Jordan Marie Robinson of Dothan unresponsive.
First responders began life-saving treatment, but Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
While inside the residence, officers observed drug paraphernalia and residue in plain view, prompting investigators to obtain a search warrant for the home. During the search, authorities seized several types of drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, psilocybin, and fentanyl, along with drug paraphernalia.
Investigators said the drugs were linked to the suspect, identified as Jenne Clifton Adams of Ashford. Adams was initially charged that same day with drug trafficking, three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana in the second degree, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
An autopsy for Robinson was ordered and later received by investigators on March 3, 2026. The forensic autopsy determined the cause of death was a fentanyl overdose.
Through digital forensic analysis of phones and computers, investigators said they established probable cause that Adams supplied the fentanyl that led to Robinson’s death.
Adams was subsequently charged with manslaughter related to fentanyl and booked into the Houston County Jail.
Police said fentanyl continues to impact many lives across the Wiregrass region and warned that those who possess, supply, or use the drug in the community can expect to be held accountable under Alabama law.
Authorities also expressed condolences to Robinson’s family and friends as they grieve the loss.
