Truck Crashes into Dothan Convenience Store, Employee Narrowly Escapes Injury

DOTHAN, Ala. — A routine morning at the Hop In Convenience Store in Dothan quickly turned into a tense moment of chaos when a large white truck slammed into the front of the building, narrowly missing an employee behind the counter.

The crash occurred around 6:00 a.m. at the popular gas station located at the corner of Westgate Parkway and West Main Street. Surveillance footage from the scene captured the startling moment when the truck plowed into the front of the store, causing significant damage to the structure. The employee, who was sitting at the front counter at the time, can be seen jumping to his feet and quickly retreating as the truck crashed just inches from where he had been sitting.

Seconds after the crash, the truck can be seen backing away from the storefront and leaving the scene. Despite the severity of the incident, both the driver and the employee were fortunate to escape unharmed. The driver, identified as a regular customer at the gas station, exchanged insurance information with the store owners before leaving the location.
