Senator Katie Britt Opens New Regional Office in Dothan

DOTHAN, Ala. — U.S. Senator Katie Britt, a native of Enterprise, has announced the opening of her first regional office in the Wiregrass area. The new office, located at the Dothan Courthouse and Federal Building on West Troy Street, will serve as a resource for residents in Southeast Alabama.

The Dothan office is the sixth regional office opened by Senator Britt in Alabama, underscoring her commitment to providing accessible constituent services across the state. The office will serve several counties, including Houston, Geneva, Dale, Coffee, Henry, Covington, Barbour, Russell, Pike, Butler, Crenshaw, and Conecuh.

In a statement, Senator Britt expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve the people of Alabama more effectively. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve Alabamians in every corner of our state,” she said. “I’m proud to be from the Wiregrass, and the opening of our Dothan office will allow us to have an even stronger presence in Southeast Alabama as we continue to prioritize timely and effective constituent services.”

Britt went on to emphasize the importance of maintaining strong communication with her constituents, encouraging them to reach out for any assistance. “Please do not hesitate to reach out if we can ever be of assistance. It is my honor to fight on behalf of Alabama’s people, values, and interests every single day,” she added.

The opening of the office follows a significant announcement in August 2024, when Senator Britt secured $5 million in funding for critical upgrades and restoration work at the Dothan Federal Courthouse. The investment aims to preserve the historic building while ensuring it remains functional for future use.

With the new office now open, residents in the Wiregrass region can more easily access the support and services of Senator Britt’s office, marking a step toward strengthening her presence in the area and improving constituent relations in Southeast Alabama.
