Blake Moore Appointed as New Director of Community Services and Recreation in Enterprise

Enterprise, Ala. — The City of Enterprise has announced the appointment of Blake Moore as its new Director of Community Services and Recreation. Moore, a longtime resident of the city, was officially recognized for the position on Tuesday after being selected from a pool of five candidates interviewed last week. Mayor William E. Cooper extended the job offer to Moore on Friday.

In a statement, Moore expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, “I am truly honored to serve the Enterprise community as the new Director of Community Services and Recreation. I am proud to say I grew up in Enterprise and have fond memories of participating in Enterprise Parks and Recreation programs and athletics. I am excited to have the opportunity to lead in this role and to continue to grow and expand our offerings.”

Moore outlined several key areas he plans to focus on, including athletics, Farmers Market events, Main Street activities, and tourism initiatives. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with city staff to create engaging experiences for local residents.

Before stepping into his new role, Moore served as the Superintendent of Enterprise Parks and Recreation since late 2016. In that capacity, he was responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the city’s parks and recreation facilities. His extensive experience in community recreation also includes his time as the Recreation Supervisor of Westgate Park in Dothan.

As the Director of Community Services and Recreation, Moore will be tasked with further developing Enterprise’s recreational offerings while fostering a sense of community through diverse programming and events. His leadership is expected to play a key role in continuing the city’s growth and in making Enterprise an even more vibrant place to live and visit.
