Serious Crash in Geneva County Leaves Driver Injured

MALVERN, Ala. – A driver was seriously injured early Saturday morning following a crash in Geneva County. Authorities report that the incident occurred around 2:35 a.m. in the 300 block of W. Reeves Street in Malvern.

According to officials, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into a tree. The impact trapped the driver inside the car. Emergency responders were quickly on the scene and worked to safely extricate the driver from the wreckage.

The injured driver was promptly transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. At this time, the identity of the driver has not been released, and their current condition remains unknown.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has taken over the investigation into the crash, and authorities have not yet disclosed any details about the cause of the accident.
