Dothan, Ala. – A fatal crash in Houston County on Saturday morning claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman from Dothan. According to Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd, the accident occurred around 5:35 a.m. when Reagan Collen Brewer, 21, pulled out in front of an 18-wheeler on Highway 52, just east of Furnie Folks Road in Webb. The truck was unable to avoid the collision and struck Brewer’s vehicle.
Brewer was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the accident took place early in the morning, with low traffic on the highway at the time of the incident.
Webb Police Department is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). At this time, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
