DOTHAN, Ala. — Two employees were injured in a shooting Friday morning at a bondsman office located in the 200 block of West Main Street, near the intersection of South Lena Street.
Authorities reported that the incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. after an altercation between a suspect and representatives of the bonding company. During the confrontation, the suspect opened fire, striking one employee in the arm and another in the leg.
Officers responded promptly to the scene and confirmed that both victims were employees of the bondsman’s office. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
Law enforcement officials have launched an investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the shooting.
