Dothan, AL – A school resource officer with the Dothan Police Department visited Hidden Lake Primary School as part of Read Across America Week.
According to the department, Officer Volkman joined Ms. Jones’ class during the second day of the celebration to spend time with students and help promote reading.
The visit also included Travis Fretts with the Dothan Fire Department, Coach Merritt, and Jakia Pearson, a former MNPF, who spoke with students during the event.
School officials thanked the visitors for spending time with the class and helping encourage students during the weeklong reading celebration.
