Dothan, AL – A former employee of Jerry Lee Faine Elementary School is facing additional criminal charges after investigators identified another juvenile victim during an ongoing investigation.
According to the Dothan Police Department, the Special Investigation Unit received a report on May 22, 2026, regarding an additional juvenile victim connected to Johnny Mark Dunaway.
Investigators conducted a full investigation into the allegations, including a forensic interview with the juvenile. As a result of the investigation, Dunaway was charged on May 28 with three additional counts of enticing a child for immoral purposes.
A judge set bond at $100,000 for each of the new charges.
Police said the investigation remains active, and evidence is still being processed. Investigators noted that additional charges cannot be ruled out as the case continues.
Due to Alabama’s juvenile privacy laws, authorities said specific details about the allegations and the juvenile victim cannot be released.
Dunaway is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
