Dothan , AL – A 29-year-old Dothan woman was killed early Friday morning after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing Ross Clark Circle, according to the Dothan Police Department.
Police said officers responded shortly after 4 a.m. on July 17 to the 600 block of Ross Clark Circle following reports of a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle.
The victim was identified as Quinteria Reaves, 29, of Dothan. Investigators said Reaves was crossing Ross Clark Circle when she was struck by a passing vehicle.
Emergency responders immediately provided life-saving measures, but Reaves was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Dothan Police Department’s CRASH Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision, including the events leading up to the crash.
Authorities have not released additional details about the driver involved or whether any citations have been issued.
The Dothan Police Department extended its condolences to Reaves’ family and friends as they mourn her death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
