Charges Against Attorney Andrew Scarborough Dismissed

Dothan, ALA — Domestic violence charges against prominent attorney Andrew Scarborough were officially dismissed on Tuesday, according to his defense attorney. The charges stemmed from an incident last year in which police reported Scarborough had damaged a vehicle belonging to a woman described as his partner.

Scarborough’s defense attorney, David Harrison, expressed relief over the resolution, stating, “I’m glad all parties reached a resolution. A court of law should be, and was today, ‘Justice for All.’” The dismissal follows a month-long investigation into the incident, which had led to charges of Harassment and Criminal Mischief.

The case had drawn considerable attention, especially after Scarborough and Harrison’s previous legal work on the defense team for Coley McCraney, the church bishop convicted of the 1999 cold case murders of two Dothan teens.

As of now, no further details have been released regarding the circumstances surrounding the vehicle damage. The dismissal of charges concludes a brief but high-profile chapter for Scarborough, who continues to work as a respected attorney in the region.

For now, the legal matters surrounding Scarborough are resolved, and his attorney remains optimistic about the outcome, reflecting a sense of justice being served.
