DALE COUNTY, Ala — A Daleville man was arrested this week after investigators claimed he sexually assaulted a young girl.
According to the Dale County Sheriff’s Office, 25-year-old Alexander Parker was arrested on Tuesday, February 11, and charged with one count of sexual abuse of a child less than 12.
Lt. Caroline Jackson with the DCSO says investigators were looking into a separate crime and interviewing children at the child advocacy center, when they were alerted to a possible sexual assault involving Parker.
Lt. Jackson tells WDHN that Parker is accused of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 10.
During an investigation into Parker, deputies executed a search warrant at a home and arrested Parker.
Investigators are currently going through Parker’s electronic devices and additional charges could be coming.
