Dothan, AL – Dothan’s 10U Girls All-Star Team was recognized by city leaders for an outstanding season that ended with a Dixie Softball World Series championship.
The team first won the ARPA 10U State Championship in Dothan before capturing the Dixie Softball 10U State Championship in Montgomery. That victory sent the team to the Dixie Softball World Series in Belleview, Florida, where they competed as Team Alabama.
The Dothan team went on to defeat opponents from Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia to claim the 2026 Dixie Softball 10U World Series Championship.
Across all three championship tournaments, the team finished with a combined 19-2 record, scoring 178 runs while allowing only 34.
The championship also marked a significant achievement for Dothan, as the team became only the fourth Dothan team to bring home a Dixie Softball World Series title in more than 20 years of participation.
The players and coaches were recognized during a Dothan City Commission meeting for their accomplishments. As a token of appreciation, the team presented city leadership with a softball signed by every player on the roster.
City officials congratulated the players and coaches and thanked them for representing Dothan throughout their championship season.
