Dothan, AL – The City of Dothan announced that sanitary sewer work will require lane closures on Columbia Highway on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
The closures are necessary for the lining of sewer mains in the area.
The middle lane of Columbia Highway will be closed from East Main Street to just east of Appletree Street.
Access to eastbound and southbound Columbia Highway from East Main Street will be restricted, though motorists will still be able to enter from side streets.
Work is scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., though city officials noted that construction may extend into the night depending on site conditions.
During the project, lane closures and traffic shifts will be in place.
Drivers are advised to use caution, follow traffic signs, and be mindful of crews working in the roadway.
