Dothan, Ala. — A Dothan man has been arrested and charged with 12 counts of possession of child pornography after investigators uncovered multiple disturbing videos. Audarion Kywon Richardson, 23, was taken into custody on Friday following a cyber tip that led authorities to examine his electronic devices.
According to Lt. Scott Owens of the Dothan Police Department, the investigation revealed that Richardson possessed videos of children engaging in sexual acts, including material involving minors ranging from teenagers to a boy under the age of four.
Richardson appeared before Judge Benjamin Lewis for his initial court appearance. The judge set strict conditions should Richardson be granted bond, including a ban on any contact with children under the age of 19 and a prohibition on possessing electronic devices.
Richardson remains held in the Houston County Jail, with bond set at $180,000. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to address and combat child exploitation, with investigators continuing to follow up on cyber tips to prevent further harm.
The investigation is ongoing.
