Dothan, Ala. — A 28-year-old man from Dothan was found dead in a Birmingham residence early Sunday morning. According to the Birmingham Police Department, officers responded to a call at approximately 6:47 a.m. about a person who was unresponsive in the 200 block of Eighth Court West.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Richard Alexander Wilson Jr., who appeared to have suffered from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that an unidentified citizen discovered Wilson’s body inside the home and immediately contacted 911. While the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear, authorities have stated that details about the case are limited as of Sunday morning.
