Dothan, AL – The Dothan Performing Arts team recently took part in emergency response training with members of the Dothan Fire Department to help staff remain prepared to respond to medical emergencies during events.
The training was led by EMS Battalion Chief Richard Byrd and EMS Sergeant Dalton Quattlebaum. Team members received instruction in CPR, Stop the Bleed techniques and Narcan response.
Dothan Performing Arts said the training is part of its effort to ensure attendees remain safe before, during and after events at the facility.
The organization thanked the Dothan Fire Department EMS personnel for sharing their time and expertise and helping its team prepare for potential emergencies.
“At Dothan Performing Arts, our goal is simple: every person who attends a DPA event should arrive safely, enjoy their time with us, and leave safely,” the organization said.
The training provides staff with additional knowledge and practical skills that could be useful if someone attending an event experiences a medical emergency.
