Dothan, AL – The Dothan Police Department welcomed five new officers during a recent swearing-in ceremony, marking the beginning of their training and careers in law enforcement.
The officers were officially sworn in by Chief Benny before beginning pre-academy training. Officials said the recruits will attend the Wiregrass Law Enforcement Academy in April as part of their path toward certification.
After completing the academy, the new officers will continue with additional training before fully joining the department in active service.
Department officials welcomed the new recruits and expressed support as they begin their journey toward becoming certified officers.
