MALVERN, Ala. — A Thursday morning fire completely destroyed a mobile home in Malvern, but thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Malvern Fire and Rescue, along with Slocomb Fire and Rescue, were dispatched to the scene on Royce Lane, near the Houston County line, after reports of a structure fire. Taylor Volunteer Fire and Rehobeth Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene to assist with firefighting efforts.
When crews arrived, they found a single-wide mobile home fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters immediately began working to bring the fire under control, and the blaze was quickly extinguished.
Despite the challenging conditions, including the nearest fire hydrant being over 2,000 feet away, firefighters were able to manage the situation. They utilized water trucks to shuttle water to the scene, ensuring that the fire was contained before it could spread further.
Authorities confirmed that no injuries were sustained in the fire. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
While the home was completely destroyed, the coordinated efforts of local fire departments played a key role in preventing further damage or injury.
