DOTHAN, Ala. — Girard Avenue will be closed Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. as part of ongoing sanitary sewer construction work.
The City of Dothan’s contractor responsible for the sewer improvements will implement a one-way traffic flow westbound at the intersection of Girard Avenue and West Main Street during the closure.
Drivers can expect lane closures and shifts throughout the day. Traffic cones and digital arrow signs will be placed along the route to help direct motorists safely through the affected area.
Officials encourage commuters to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time during the construction period.
The City of Dothan apologizes for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the public’s patience as improvements are made to the city’s infrastructure.
