Huntsville, Ala. — The case of Ronald Leslie Dumas Jr., a 37-year-old Huntsville real estate agent who was reported missing nearly two months ago, has taken a dramatic turn as local authorities now confirm he was abducted. Huntsville Police Department (HPD) announced the new developments following the discovery of critical evidence, which led them to issue arrest warrants for five individuals in connection with the crime.
Dumas, who was last seen on December 15, 2024, was initially reported missing two days later, on December 17. Early in the investigation, authorities had stated that there was no sign of distress in security footage showing Dumas entering a liquor store on University Drive with two women just before 10:30 p.m. However, further investigation has revealed new details that suggest his abduction.
Through the investigation, HPD identified the women and traced them to their apartment. Further evidence confirmed their connection to Dumas, and police uncovered additional signs of his abduction. As the case progressed, authorities determined that multiple individuals were involved in the incident.
HPD has issued arrest warrants for five suspects, all of whom are now wanted for various charges related to the abduction:
- Quintarius Shikelion White, 32, from Memphis, TN, is wanted for first-degree kidnapping.
- Toure Laron McLaurin, 33, also from Memphis, TN, is wanted for first-degree kidnapping.
- Sabrina Rochelle Chambers, 27, from Huntsville, AL, is wanted for first-degree kidnapping.
- Kierra Symone Clark, 27, from Memphis, TN, is wanted for conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
- Carissa Cash, 33, from Memphis, TN, is wanted for first-degree receiving stolen property.
In their efforts to locate the suspects, HPD is working alongside the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force. Authorities have asked the public to report any information regarding the suspects to local law enforcement.
A significant lead has also emerged from the investigation. With the assistance of the FBI, a credible tip pointed to a 450-acre area south of Memphis, TN, extending into northern Mississippi, as a possible location for Dumas. On February 6, 2025, a search was conducted in the area involving 20 investigators, including crime scene personnel, drone operators, and Southeastern Search Dogs from several agencies, including HPD and the Memphis Police Department.
The search efforts were sparked in part by the discovery of Dumas’ abandoned vehicle in Camden, Tennessee, on December 16, 2024. The vehicle was found near mile marker 133 on I-40, following a call to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The vehicle was impounded the same day, and two days later, it was confirmed to belong to Dumas. Investigators later learned that Dumas’ cell phone had been tracked traveling west along I-40, suggesting he had reached Jackson, Tennessee, on December 16.
HPD also reported that Dumas’ phone continued to move southward from Memphis as late as December 21, 2024.
As the investigation continues, HPD has urged anyone with information regarding Dumas’ whereabouts to contact Investigator Stephen Gibbs at 256-427-5448.
The search for Dumas has captivated the Huntsville community, with his family voicing concerns and remaining hopeful that answers will soon emerge. Family members have made themselves available to speak to the media, offering their response to the ongoing investigation and discussing next steps.
The case highlights the growing concern over missing persons in the area and underscores the importance of collaboration between local, state, and federal agencies in solving such cases. Authorities continue to ask for the public’s help in locating the missing man and bringing the responsible parties to justice.
