John’s Chapel AME and Christian Mission Center Launch ‘Love Thy Neighbor’ Fundraiser

ENTERPRISE, Ala. — John’s Chapel AME Church, in collaboration with the Christian Mission Center, has launched a community-focused fundraising initiative called the “Love Thy Neighbor” campaign. The goal of the campaign is to raise $30,000 for the center’s ministries by Easter, and the church is calling on 300 community members to donate $100 each in support of this cause.

The Christian Mission Center provides critical services to the local community, including a recovery program, a 72-hour emergency shelter, a food service program, and an office to assist with various emergency needs. These programs are essential for individuals facing hardship in the area, and the funds raised through this challenge will help sustain these efforts.

Amanda Simmons, a representative from the Christian Mission Center, explained the need for donations, saying, “This money will help with our four ministries, which play a crucial role in assisting those in need. The funds will go directly toward supporting our recovery program, emergency shelter, food services, and other emergency assistance.”

The fundraising campaign, which kicked off last week, has already raised just over $1,000, but organizers stress that there is still a long way to go in reaching their target. As the season of giving continues, the church and mission center are hopeful that the community will rally behind the cause.

Those interested in contributing can visit the Christian Mission Center’s website at christmissions.org, or they can call or visit the center’s office and stores for more information.

The “Love Thy Neighbor” fundraiser serves as a reminder of the power of community and the importance of giving during this time of year. With the support of local residents, the Christian Mission Center’s vital work can continue to make a difference in the lives of many.
