DOTHAN, Ala. — Wiregrass resident Kyle Scott has officially launched his campaign for the Dothan City Commission seat three, promising to bring new job opportunities and community resources to the city.
In a recent interview with WDHN, Scott outlined his vision to empower working-class families throughout Dothan. Central to his campaign is a plan aimed at creating over 3,000 jobs through various economic and community initiatives.
One of Scott’s flagship proposals is the development of a Wiregrass Adventure Park, which he says could create between 400 and 800 jobs and inject approximately $42 million into the city’s economy. This project is designed to boost local tourism and provide long-term employment opportunities.
Scott also plans to establish a city-backed community center focused on providing funding, educational workshops, and internship programs to help residents gain skills and employment. Additionally, he supports the creation of church-run gardens to offer fresh fruits and vegetables to residents in need, addressing food insecurity within the community.
By focusing on job creation and community empowerment, Scott aims to build a stronger economic foundation for Dothan and improve quality of life for its residents.
The election for Dothan City Commission seat three is expected to be competitive, with Scott entering the race bringing fresh ideas and a focus on economic growth.
