Dothan, AL – Dothan Leisure Services announced that the playground at Morningview Park, located at 213 Cordova Drive, will be temporarily closed beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
The closure will allow crews to remove the existing playground equipment and prepare the site for the installation of a new play unit.
City officials said the project reflects Dothan’s commitment to providing safe and modern recreational facilities for the community.
The playground will remain closed until further notice. Leisure Services staff will notify the public once the new playground is ready for use.
“We’re excited to bring a new, modern play unit to Morningview Park that families will enjoy for years to come,” said Dothan Leisure Services Assistant Director Kenny Thompson. “We appreciate the community’s patience during this improvement project.”
