Enterprise, Ala. — A motorcyclist is in critical condition following a crash Thursday afternoon on Rucker Boulevard, one of the city’s busiest roads.
According to the Enterprise Police Department, the incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. when the motorcyclist lost control of his bike while traveling along the busy stretch of road near Glenwood Drive. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, and the man was airlifted via life flight to a nearby hospital for treatment.
At the time of the crash, traffic on Rucker Boulevard was backed up for more than an hour as crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the accident. Police have not released further details regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash, nor have they identified the motorcyclist.
Authorities are urging motorists to remain cautious and avoid the area as crews continue their work. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
