Two Employees Shot at Dothan Bondsman Office; Suspect in Custody

DOTHAN, Ala. – Two people were injured in a shooting at a bondsman office in downtown Dothan late Friday morning, following what authorities describe as an altercation between the suspect and employees of the business.

The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. in the 200 block of West Main Street, near the intersection with South Lena Street. According to police on the scene, both victims were employees of the bonding company. One was shot in the arm, while the other sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.

Officers say the confrontation escalated quickly, resulting in gunfire inside or near the business. The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken into custody shortly after the incident.

Authorities confirmed that both victims were transported for medical treatment and are expected to recover. The scene was secured by mid-afternoon as investigators began processing evidence and interviewing witnesses.

Police have not released further details about the nature of the altercation or any potential charges the suspect may face. The investigation remains ongoing.
