Woman Struck by Lightning in Franklin County, Alabama

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ala. – A 26-year-old woman was struck by lightning during Saturday’s storm in Franklin County, Alabama. The incident occurred amid severe weather conditions that swept through the area.

According to the Franklin County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), the woman was initially transported to Hellen Keller Hospital by her family. Shortly after, she was transferred to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) for further medical treatment.
